It's also located in the same building as the indoor DragonBoat and sculls practice pools - so it'll probably smell of chlorine and sweat, to boot. Plus there isn't a restaurant around for miles, just a little convenience store (no, convenience area) with Gatorade and health bars. But for access to the Grand Prix, it can't be beat!

And if you can sleep curled up in a ball all night, you can always find a doorway downtown to make your own while you're here. Lots of people do! Well, lots of people who smell like beer and old armpit do, anyway...

I lived in Detroit, Jeff is 100% correct...but I would go to Cleveland for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! ;)

CC, I got nervous when I read the first few words of your post, "I lived in Detroit..." thought you were gonna yell at me .

Hahaha! Nope...Detroit is definatly the armpit of Michigan, well Detroit and Kalmazoo;) Even the things that used to be nice when I was a child have turned into pits...the zoo, Boblo, ALL of downtown :(

Are you saying i smell?

Hee hee..
I left it vague on purpose. But no, I meant only that you can join the smelly people if you're stuck. Besides, for someone so dedicated to keeping his head smooth and free of unsightly tufts, how could you smell like anything less than a garden of begonias in the springtime...?

LOL, sorry I actually did laugh out loud.

They had theie moments WAY back in the day (before Kareem Abdul Jabbar was Kareem Abdul Jabbar).

Anyway, they won the #1 pick in this year's draft so maybe things will be looking up!

You're probably one of those crazy "cheesehead" fans!

I have been a Packer fan since the early 80's(when they really sucked;)) I always root for the underdog! Besides...Green Bay is only a 2 1/2 hour drive and Detroit is a 10 hour drive (Michigan is a BIG state) Milwaukee is 5 hours away, and Chicago is 7 hours. Isn't that weird that to Chicago there is an entire state between us and it is still closer than something in my own state:(
