Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good pair of sandals that are ideal for travelling...?

I was looking at the Merrell Reactor Convertibles...they are a bit pricey but look pretty good and I believe it is worth spending a bit more cash to get something that will last.

Any ideas...?

Cheers

i have a pair of "Teva" brand sandels, they are comfortable and they strap on and lock in so they dont fall off no matter what the situation

i've heard them being called "jesus boots" before too lol

Hi Matt

I just got myself some Teva Terra hiking sandals. Seem really good so far, comfy, sturdy, good tread, saltwater safe (unlike all the leather ones), and anti-bacterial soles.

Very good IMO & worth the £65 price tag

matt: I was a Tevas guy until I switched to Chacos. The styles are very similar and both are quite comfortable. I also own three pairs of Naots though I have yet to try their sandals. Shoes/sandals are an individual choice. Comfort is far more important than price in my opinion especially if you are like me and take only one pair of shoes when you travel.

Matt, i can only speak for myself but i would never splash out on sandels again. I spent 100 euro on a pair before leaving ireland. Had lost em within a week! Then lost a further 8 pairs in the next 2 weeks. Granted it was Ko Phangan, and the buckets of sangsom may have been a factor, but if u ask me...go with the flip flops!

I'd agree...depending on where you're going!!
flip flops are cheap and replaceable you have no worries about losing them.
Also I hate to say it eek but those walking sandles aren't the coolest things in the world

And i've probably just offended like a million people sorry!! ;)

Hiya, I have just bought another pair of Teva Terra hiking sandels and have all the usual extras, my last pair lasted three years and i live in them so i think they're well worth the money, as for the coolness thing well i don't really care as long as i can walk in them and climb the odd rock or two, (besides they're brown leather and go with jeans, shorts and my gypsy skirts, what more can you ask !?! )

perhaps you could don a pair of white socks with the teva-style sandals! ha ha. no, seriously, i'm with mim here, i'd stick with basic flip flops over "action sandals" any day!!
