Joe: I see no problems with your itinerary except that you may regret having to leave some of the cities after just a few days. I agree about Rotterdam. It is worth seeing but not staying and it is very easy to take a late train from Rotterdam to Amsterdam which will give you an additional night in Amsterdam, a city that invented the word "fun." I always exceed my budget in Europe so I will not offer any suggestions. Many of the cities you are visiting offer half day bicycle tours. Bicycle tours are a great way to see alot in a short period of time and also highlight places you may want to return to and spend more time.

Thank You all for leaving the wonderful ideas but nobody helped me with a suggested budget...... Any help would be very appreciated, but please dont stop with the other thoughts.

In regards to Rotterdam, I saw pictures of the modern cube architecture and would like to see it. Is it possible to stop just for the day?

From Amsterdam to Rotterdam is only one hour by train.......

If you live on a budget 300 Euro per week will do, add to this amount 50 Euro for transport. 5 weeks is 1400 Euro

Some corrections here: 5 times 350 = 1750 Euro

wow u have really done your well planned...
i d leave some days for the spontaneous feeling
and i guess 1 day bratislava is enough. it is 1,5 from vienna, small, nice, i remember, i did it in a day...
maybe antwerp would apeal to u instead of roterdam, more laid baclk than all the other cities.
and, nice, someone want sto see vienna, nearly all people just go for prague and budapest and then venice or is worth it, lived 1,5 years there....

budgetting, i guess u know, but the north and paris is the most expensive....

if u also do some camping (north) u ll be cheaper
15 average of hostel, 8 restau, and if u cook some times, 2 breakfast
some enties, ok...
travel pass like interrail or eurolines...
25-30 a day - 30*7=210*5=1050+ ticket....
u ll have a good time and it will be every cent worth it....

Fairly difficult to state a budget for ya.
travelling alone?
stayin in hostels, hotels, or taking overnight transports?
small eater, or gourmet dinners?
with or without transportation?

with cheap accomodation, no transport and normal eating/drinking, perhaps 70 usd per person (40 usd hostel, 20 food/drink, 10 leasure).

Thank You everyone for your input.

After hearing from numerous people I have come across the conclusion that I am going to need about:

$1000USD for plane tix
$1500USD for hostel/food for 30-40 Days
$1000USD for Eurail Pass..more than enough i believe
$1000USD for Entertainment
$4500USD I THINK THIS IS A SAFE AMOUNT... I hate money

The fact that you're starting your trip in Paris will be good and bad for you.

Good, bacause everything after Paris will just get cheaper
and bad, becasue you'll probably blow half your budget in one city alone. :)
