I am going to India (from the U.K) in about six weeks, can people give me some names (and numbers/addresses if possible) of low budget, reliable accomodation in Northern India. Delhi, jaipur, rajasthan, udaipur, varanasi and madhya pradesh are some of our intended destinations.

Every city in India has all the budgetaccomodation in one street or area, very easy. I can't name them all but for Delhi ask your driver for main-bazar (Paharganj). In Jaipur as for hotel Diggi palace (all ricksawwallahs know) its sooooo great and cheap, its really like a palace with a great green garden.

India is one of the greatest places to travel in the world and the best friend you will ever have to travel with is "Lonely Planet India" which has "ALL the info" and maps you require for "your" travels.

Hi,
Checkout for the following in Rajasthan.

1) Circuit Houses
2) Rajasthan Tourism Cottages.

They are the best as well as cheap.
