So, I am looking at travelling from Paris to Hong Kong. According to my research, I need Visas with invite letters for Russia, Mongolia and Belarus. All of the letters can be obtained from tourist agencies (so say the countries' embassy websites).
If I am not using an agency to arrange travel while I am there, how hard are these to get? How long to they take to get the letters?
It's just a money making thing. You can get the "invitation" just by paying a fee for it.
Click Russian visa Requiremnets (you can just pay $$ and get the invite).
You can also get Belarus (Invite & visa) at this site.
Although (for an American, would think same for Canadian) Belarus will give you transit visa on the train (I think).
Mongolia (don't know about because American's don't need visas, but would assume it's again just a matter of paying for the invite to get the visa). How strick can they be if they don't even require visas form us?
How long to they take to get the letters?
By the way,
At the link above you can get the invite next day, or even same day for an extra $15.
