hello all!

i am planning on doing some travelling around europe next summer. I am going to travel mainly by rail and i am looking to visit the following countries; spain, netherlands, france, italy, belguim, sweden (maybe) and greece. i am looking to travel for around a month does anyone know where i can buy the cheapest rail tickets online? i have tried www.railpass.com and eurorail also, but when i looked into this a couple of months ago i sure there was a cheaper ticket available from another site i found...but i cant remember the site.

Also if anyone has used these type of rail tickets before do you know if they are valid at all stations and rail networks within the countries i have mentioned.

regards
mike :)

also could anyone let me know more about hostels? what is the rooms/food like generally?

im not expecting the ritz hotel for 15-25 euros, but i just want a general feel based on your previous experiences. I would be looking to visit mainly capital citys, are campsites easy to find, and is there plenty of them available. maybe camping would suit me better depending on what the feedback is on hostels, i have viewed some of them online and they look fine to me. but they dont always look the same when you get there i think.

any info would be much appreciated.

cheers
mike

Hey Mike,

I am also planning on visiting europe next summer. I will be going to France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Rep, Austria, Slovakia, Italy, and Switzerland, (POSSIBLY GREECE). I found it very helpful to check this out http://www.railkey.com/tickets/default.asp?AFF=TPT as it gives you a way to list your destinations and it tells you which rail pass / tix would be most affordable and give you the most use for your money.

For Hostels, I checked out www.hihostels.com and i also found a cool website called www.hospitalityclub.org where you stay with host families/people for FREE...

Any questions feel free to mssg me,
Joe
