Hello Villon. I'm Rob and I'm going from Montreal to Vancouver in Mid-August and I'm going by car. I'm a 26 year old student at Concordia going to Vancouver for about a year. If you're interested in coming with or if you have questions let me know. In any case, we should definitely chat.

There is the VIA RAIL from Vancouver to Montreal - through Jasper then Edmonton I think... not 100% on that one. Then it keeps going east - winnipeg etc.

I travelled from Edmonton to Winnipeg by train, that was a lot of fun. The prices are too crazy now for me though.

Upon graduation, I travelled across Canada by train in 2002. Vancouver to Halifax, then back home to Toronto. The Viarail pass at that time cost me about $450. Not sure how muich it is now. If you're planning on visiting Churchill, I hear its cool to go in the winter. The Hudson's Bay freezes and you can actually walk out on the ice into the Bay. The view of the Northern Lights is supposedly spectacular!
