Hi all,
I've noticed a number of posts about fruit picking.
I saw this on a job notice board and thought people might be interested:

Want to arrange a farm-stay in Australia... for work instead of money?

Willing Workers On Organic Farms (WWOOF) is a form of cultural exchange in which WWOOFers live and work as family with host farms, and learn about:

the skills of organic growing
the area they are visiting
When you join WWOOF Australia you:

work in exchange for your keep
get full board and accommodation, usually in the family home
learn about organic growing and about Australia
choose from 1,200 Organic Farms offering to teach you aspects of:

Organic growing
Bio-dynamics
Permaculture

Just google: wwoof

Hey,

Just a quick comment but you get the same kind of experience actually working and earning money. For example one farmstay place in SA is an orchard where you do the usual and work for food & accomodation. I worked at an orchard in the Adelaide hills where we stayed for free and got to watch DVD's and eat home made scones when it rained, whilst getting a wage at the end of it! You can have the same kind of experiences and still earn cash.

All the best.

P.S. If your organically inclined then I'm sure you can still learn about organic growing whilst your working and getting paid.
