Travel Forums Europe Charter flights

From what I can gather, charter flights are cheap and unscheduled flights. Is the only way to get one of these, to show up and ask around?

Charter flights are something totally different as far as I know. They're the kind of flights that tour agents buy and package in for packaged holidays. In the Netherlands for example, Martinair does charter flights. Usually these airlines also manage to get a couple of extra rows into the plan... so seating is not the best!

But if you are after a cheap package holiday to the coast of Spain/Ibiza etc. this is the way to go.

I've read that they try to fill empty seats on those flights and you can get them pretty cheap.
