Hi,
Do you think it's a better idea to choose a RTW flight ticket for travelling round the world or do you think it would be cheaper to organise transport on the way?

There are such great price on RTW tickets now...I think it would be better to get that then pay as you go. (which can be very expensive sometimes!) You cn use the handy 'tools' link at the top of this page to find some good deals too;)

Thanks, it's probably much easier to get a ticket as well. I've just looked on the 'tools' link and it's really helpful in choosing a route.

Hey Eleanor,

RTW ticket is definately the way to go. Im half way through my trip, and i am so happy with my ticket so far.

We chose to use the Star Alliance ticket, which gave us a maximum of 29000 miles of travel. It is very flexible and it is easy to change dates of flights if you want to spend longer somewhere etc.

However, if you wish to change a destinations along the way it will cost $75 US everytime u make a change, so it is better to make several at the one time.

Also, the ticket uses a few bad airlines, such as United Airlines which i thought were crap.

Anyway, all in all, i think this ticket is great
