Hello again. Is getting the London a pass idea? And is a good idea to get the travel card with it?? or what is the best way to get around London. If I buy a travel card what zones should I buy for (1 or 1&2 etc.)?? Thank You. Kay Capps

Depends where you are staying Kay as to what zones you will need, I suggest waiting until you get there & then just getting the ticket at the nearest tube station to you. You don't say how long you will be there & there are various options on travelcards, just ask at the counter..

Depends how much money and time you have.

It depends on 2 main things:

1- How long you want to spend in London.
2- How far are the things you want to see.

Up to three days, you can but a 1, 2 or 3 day travelcards. Which will allow you to get around in the underground and buses, on the areas of your choice, in an unlimited way. Don't forget that London's Underground closes at night, and therefore if you want to go out after 11pm or 12 pm, you will have to know which night bus you have to take to go back to the place you are staying. YOu can get the tickets and all the maps you need to have in the Oxford St Tube Station.

If you are staying more than 3 days (3 to 7 days), I will recommend you to take a Weekly Travelcard, for what you will need a passport size photograph of yourself. You can have the ticket in the Oxford St Tube Station (that's where I got mines when I was there).

2- It depens where the things you want to see are. The day/weekly travelcards are for the zones you choose, so you have to take into account that if you want to go and see something that's on the zone 2, you may consider buying a travelcard covering those zones. If you are just going to visit one thing on the zone two and the rest is in zone 1, you can have a zone 1 travelcard, and then get a ticket for that place in zone 2, it will be cheaper. Transport for London. You can find here info for the tube and buses in London. Hope it helps
