I'm SO confused, going away for 2 months - asia or europe

Travel Forums Asia I'm SO confused, going away for 2 months - asia or europe

Guys, for the last 6 weeks or so i have been planning on going to europe. I leave in about 15 days time so i need to decide now.

I have a flight booked to paris, but that is all, i was going to buy an interrail ticket, but haven't yet.

I know asia is much cheaper to stay, with hostels only about £3 ($6 usd) per night or something similar. This is compared to europe which is at least about £15 ($30 usd) per night.

Money is a big issue. The flights to asia are more expensive. Any suggestions on what i should decide to do. I am going with my girlfriend, we are going on a backpacking, roughing it kind of trip for fun. Looking to see some nice places, relax, and have a bit of fun.

Please help me,
Gary.

Well, after backpacking both in Europe and Asia last year, with no doubt I can tell you Asia will be my choice (and I'm going back next month). travelling in Europe just can't be cheap, compared to Asia, you'll have to count and think of every train or bus you are taking and it's not a way to relax. I've been to some beautiful places but the money just disapears.. Asia on the other hand is heaven..
But ofcourse, this is my, and only my opinion..
anyway, enjoy your trip!

My feelings exactly...I have done both too. If I had to pick one to do over, it will be Asia.

If you are looking for culture and new/different things, go to Asia. If you are looking for comfort and less hassle, go to Europe. Then again, you are very close to the rest of Europe already...you can do that anytime. Not to mention, Asia is extremely cheap. With a very tight budget, you can get by with $100-$150 per week there...comfortable will be approx. $200 per week and extremely comfortable probably $300. Now, these amts dont account for liquor, that gets expensive there. A mix drink can be as much as a meal.

Thanks guys. What about beer, how much is one pint of beer as i plan on drinking a lot.

Is there nice places and bars where you can sit and just relax? Is there other places to visit? I'm looking for culture, places of interest, but also tranquil places where you can easily relax and just chill out and have a think about things.

Only 15 days to decide.

Also i need a good FLIGHT OPERATOR that is relatively cheap and fly from the UK.

Thanks,
Gary.
