hey, i wonder if any of you can help, i'm planning to go to America this time next year and i'm wondering if i will be able to rent a car, a 7 seater, the driver's will be 19+ and driving for about a year.
and also will a villa rent out to us (4-5 18-19 year olds), or would they be worried about it being trashed.
I know for a fact that you wont be able to rent a car if you are under 25. There are very few rental places that do but you have to call the private ones (not the big chains like Hertz, Alamo, National, Budget, etc).
For the villas, they have never asked for age when I have booked anything. As long as you reserve it with a credit card, I think you will be fine. But one thing I would do is show up with 10 friends at the front desk when you are checking in.

Sorry, one thing I WOULDNT do...
damn, do you know if the private ones will rent to us? if so have you got any links?
You may struggle with the car thing. Some companies (Enterprise for eg) rent to under 25's but still got to be 21 I'm afraid. However, try 'rent-a-reck'. don't have a link for it but if you google it i'm sure it will come up with something.
i e mailed rent-a-reck, no reply yet,
if we cannot rent a car, what would you recommend we do to get to the parks, taxis would be too expensive ( i think ), i can only think of scooters but would they be a little to slow to get around on.
What city are you arriving in? That may help me with the research...
Ok I will find out about car rentals...I dont think you will have a problem getting from the aiport to the villa but for getting around all of Orlando, you will need a car. It will get expensive to take cabs here and there...
I'll let you know if I have any luck! Cross your fingers!
Ok, here is one I found for age 18 and up...there is a surcharge per day but very much worth it...
Look under age requirements...they are located in Orlando.
