Does someone know if there are special events in Universal studios in Orlando?
I mean if there's fireworks or a lasershow in the evening (as in magic kingdom and in epcot)?
Thank you for your reply

Everything you ever wanted to know about Universal Studios and more (including special events:)) http://themeparks.universalstudios.com/orlando/website/usf_attraction_landing.html

I got a kick out of this..it is posted on the website ...
Did you know???
The United States is the only major industrilalized nation whos citizens are not entitled to vacation by law? We work 100 more hours per year than the Japanese...350 hours more per year than the average European...

Makes me want to take a vacation just thinking about it..

Really CC, do you not get annual leave in your contracts? We get 3 weeks minimum by law here in NZ & that is extending to 4 weeks next year. Then we have 11 Public Holidays on top of that (Christmas, Easter, Anzac Day etc) The standard working week is 40 hours, what is yours?

The standard workweek is 40/hrs, but giving paid vacation is solely up to the employer to decide to offer that as part of a "benefit package." No laws here provide for any vacation .

Of course, I shouldn't be complaining because I worked my last day today, until Sept. 6th when I go back after my Summer vacation.

The best vacation deal I ever got was...no vacation the first 2 years of employment...10 paid holidays per year...it was 80 hours a pay period (2 weeks) but because of that wording..they can work you all 80 in the first week and none in the second :(
Then in your third year..you get a weeks paid vacation up to your 5th year of employment. Then 2 weeks up to 10 year employment..you max out at 3 weeks a year at the 20 yr. employed mark. AND (this is the worst part) if you don't use it, you lose it...no storing it up for a BIG vacation:( ....I shouldn't complain...I have worked a few jobs where there was no sick time-if you didn't work..you didn't get paid, and zero vacation, no overtime..and I was working an average of 90 to 95 hours a week...:(
That's it...I am moving to Europe!!!!

Wow, thats really quite harsh isn't it... I thought when Mrs Isa complained about Beerman only having 10days holiday a year, that that was bad... but it gets worse

The whole summer, you lucky lucky bast@#d
