How long ago did you book?

Thanks

Hi,

I booked last Friday and the tickets arrived this morning.

I booked directly through virgin atlantic as they run the escapade ticket anyway and were cheaper than going through a travel agent and were very helpful over the telephone.

I only have a working visa for Australia at the moment and you do that yourself online. Only takes 2 days to come through. From July 1st this will also be able to be done with the New Zealand visa. I wont be in New Zealand til August so I cant book that visa until August this year as you only have a year to get in from receipt. The New Zealand visa now runs for two years when in though so I can see a return trip coming on there!

The rest of the places I am staying in im not staying very long but I do need to check if I require any holiday visas but again easy to sort yourself. Makes it cheaper that way!

Hope this helps

Thats great, I went into STA travel at the weekend, they said they could sort the work visa for Oz for £80, but i had seen somewhere that you could do it online. Is there a charge for it? How much was your RTW ticket?

Hi I am planning on going on a round the world trip for about 7-10 months. Here is my itineary:
Toronto
London - 4 days
Paris - 3 days
Barcelona - 4 days
Venice - 4 days
Florence - 4 days
Rome - 4 days
Athens - 4 days
Cairo - 3 days
Mumbai - 5 days
Delhi - 5 days
Melbourne - 4 months
Auckland - 5 days
Sydney - 5 days
Singapore - 5 days
Bangkok - 5 days
Tokyo - 5 days
Hong Kong - 1 month
Toronto

I gave this itineary to Airtreks and they came back with an estimated cost of $9000 CAD...that is nuts..
So I noticed that the flight tickets are a lot cheaper in the UK. Does anyone know if we can book them from the UK? If i arrange my own flight to the UK and start the RTW flights from there, do you think it would be cheaper and can it work???
