Once when my youngest daughter was 4, our whole family was sitting in church...she farted (pretty quietly) but then she YELLED out(with a BIG smile on her face).."Mom, I just farted!"....now that was an uncomfortable slience ;)

My nephew would have said "Pull my finger"

my niece is only two and loves the concept of babies being in mommys tummies (her mom just had one so she's fascinated) so everytime she sees a woman with a round belly she runs up wraps her arms around their legs, pats their stomach and says ''ahh the baba'', most of the time they think its cute but last time we were in a local supermarket (were they know us quite well) and this woman (read witch) screamed for security to get 'the brat' (how dare she call laoise that ! ) out of the shop, the whole shop went really quiet and we just stood there in shock, i tried to explain to the screaming overdramatic freak that it was a mistake but she walked screaming out that she would never shop there again, etc.... slightly embarresed we walked to the till to pay for our shopping and laoise turns around in a loud voice ''does that mean no baby but wrong time of the month'' , at this stage a bunch of nearby teenagers broke into fits of giggles , and i prayed for the ground to swallow me up ...

side note - you can probably guess that laoise didn't understand what was going on or what she was saying, she just knows that if her mom is in a bad mood her dad says its that time of the month, now she knows it makes strangers laugh so she says it about anyone moody !!
