Hi everybody,

I have to share the most exciting news, which are that I received a scholarship to study in Melbourne/Australia from February until November 2006. You probably can imagine what a happy puppy I've been ever since I opened the letter this morning!I never thought I would get accepted and I've read the few lines a hundred times now!!!I'm off again, still can't believe I'm going back to actually live down under!

Cheers,

Steff

P.S.: Can we possibly delay the TP meet-up in Sydney for a year;)?
P.P.S.: Shooting star wishes do come true!

Countryside Victoria is beautiful and Melbourne is okay for nightlife but it is a rat race. There are country trains to catch out of Melbourne

I have a friend in pursuit of her PHD in Melbourne and she said it's a lovely place there! Sure you'll love that place like she does.

Congratulations again, Steff! (Your username reminds me of Steffie Graf;))

Congratulations Steff!!!

Lucky you! From what I've heard from friends and work-mates who've been to Australia, Melbourne is a great spot! It seems to be a little more arty than, say, Sydney. I bet you'll love it there!

I'll be spending about a month there at some point during the next year, so I'll be dragging you out for a beer and a guided tour when I get there.
