Great idea and quite commonplace on various sites. Makes it very easy to also check any unread posts since your last visit.

I usually subscribe to my own threads and others I am interested in, so I get an email notification on any replies to the threads.

I know this can result in receiving tons of email notification with a busy thread, but then again, there are loads of free email accounts out there. One can setup an email address just for TP and will not miss out on important emails that get buried under all the Posting notifications.

Hi Edd,

It's a good idea and why the last 10 posts are listed on everyone's profile which is clickable from the forum. Here's mine for example.

I use this quite a lot, makes tracing spammers easier too :)

Sam - yea i use your way too but its maybe a little easier to have a view your posts button that stays on the top of your (when logged in) forum no matter which thread you go into! i find it much easier that way! What do the rest of you guys think??

Im not trying to be pushy here Sam just tryin to make it easier for all of us in the long run! Its a really great site and you guys are doing a fantastic job keep it up sam and pete!

Hi Edd,

Just trying to get it straight... basically, something next to for example the 'Start New Thread' link which when clicked on will open a page (in a seperate window?) with the last (say 25) threads you've posted in??

Wouldn't that be similar to just clicking on your profile link (ie. same amount of clicks to get there and back)?

Just trying to see if I am getting the right idea here

Sam you have a point there! I didnt realise that, ive just checked it out there and your right -same amount of clicks really. ive changed my mind now and decided it may be better on the user's homepage (when they log in) a bit like the message centre link/button that takes ya straight to your inbox - this one would take ya to all your posts and the no of replies etc.

Bit like the forum page only it will be only posts by the TP user and give stats bout em. See wot ya think Sam!

Ok, that sounds logical... how about adding what is now on the 'profile' page (the last ten threads you've posted in) to the Forum Template. Now I know this is something which not too many people use, so I'll clarify :)

When you're logged in, the second or third line at the top left specifies which Template you will see when you log in. By default this is set to General, but there are a few different ones you can select. For active forum users, the Forum template is a good choice. You can start threads from the first page you see, see what the latest featured threads are as well as the latest threads overal. You can change your template at any time right here.

If we add 'your latest threads' to that template, that would be pretty logical and it wouldn't infringe too much on those that don't post in the forum for example.

Sound logical??

Hey Guys,
I was just thinking along the same lines. I just started up a couple of days ago and must say first and foremost TP is awesome. Can't believe it took me so long to find.

I have started a couple of threads and posted in acouple others. What's confusin' me a little is trying to remember where I have posted. What I am thinking is something over on the right where the control panel, message center and log out are - having something over there with your last 5 threads or posts listed that you could just click on and transport right in. Just a thought.

Keep up the awesome work. Gotta say that since I found it I log-in everyday to look around and post. Seems like we have a really mature group here. Not too many spammers and all that junk that you find on other sites.

ROCK ON!

Although I like this idea as it would make it just one click rather than two, it takes away some pretty valuable 'real estate' on the site. Plus it would make it really cluttered since some forum thread titles can be rather long and the width is very limited in that blue space.

I'm still keen to hear what others think of my idea to include your latest posts (could even be more than 5 in that case) on the first page you see when you log on, via the forum template method described above!

Cheers,

Sam
