Jeff, you always ask really cool questions, but didn't give us your personal answer ;). Will you tell us?

Well #1 on the list is LADAKH up in the Indian Himalayas. Just got my tickets today and I'm going in August. Really excited I've wanted to visit there for a very long time. It's often referred to as "Little Tibet."

It changes often, but my current "Dream List" would be:

Kham (Traditional Eastern Tibet Region), I'd like to visit Litang next Summer and go during the large gathering in Tibetan Nomads for the annual Horse Racing festival held each August. (Unfortunately it's held at 4500/meters).

Spiti (another traditional Tibetan area located in Himachal Predesh, India, very close to the Tibet border).

Antartica
would love to visit there but I'm really afraid I'd be seasick the entire time.

Northern Pakistan (and over the mountains to Kashgar (Chinese Turkistan)). Unfortunately I think pakistan is too dangerous right now.

Southern Africa
would love to return to Southern Africa to go on Safari.

Other places would be: Yemen, Syria, Iran, & Afghanistan. Unfortunately, they are alos too dangerous to make for an enjoyable trip. Somehow, worrying about being killed or kidnapped seems to take away form the enjoyment.

And finally, would like to visit Churchill, Canada in Late Oct./Early Nov, to see the Polar Bears (and if lucky the Northern Lights). And may want to give another try to seeing a Tiger in the Wild. Tries once before and all I saw in 3 days of looking was a "paw print."

Oh, and sorry, did I forget "Berlin"

Sure! A well informed guide would be great! How about we head there first and then meet up with Lee in Tibet;)?

P.S.: You have to come to Berlin at least once! Though it might take some time till I can be your guide here as I'm leaving the city for 1,5 years.

Hey Steff, where are you off to for 1.5 years? I've actually been to Berlin a couple times, the first time while the wall was up and then last time around 5 years ago. Didn't want to hurt your feelinfs and leave out your hometown .

In Namibia, you would definitely come in handy, there's a beautiful little town on the coast (Swakopmund) where everyone speaks German. Kind of wierd, in the middle of the desert in Africa.
