I am going travelling in August with my girlfriend! We are from the UK, we are going to fly into PARIS, spend 5 days there then have a further 22 days to travel around FRANCE, SPAIN, BELGIUM, NETHERLANDS and Luxembourg via the inter rail pass!!
Any suggestions on the best way/route to do this??
Which are the best cities/towns/places to visit??
Any other help/tips would be appreciated
my daughter and I head out tomorrow from the US to do a similar trip. We don't have any set plans, except when we are going to be in what country/city. We'll wake, see what the day brings us, and go for it.
Europe is a great time.....did it last summer. Started in London, then eurorail to brussells, amsterdam, germany, switzerland then on to France and back to london for the fly home to USA.
had the best time in Amsterdam, Lucerne Switzerland and Paris. Make sure to book overnight trains 3-4 days in advance. I tried the day of and missed out, then was stuck in a city for an extra day.
if you are flying to france first, probably best to shoot up to netherlands, down to belgium, then overnight train to spain then easy jet back to london.
Don't miss out on Switzerland, it's beautiful in the summertime.
