Any suggestions on ways to stay spiritually balanced?

Not really much of one for the term 'spiritual balance' Wocca being non-religious, but I do believe in balance.. work, home, socialising, travelling, partner, friends, family, me - sometimes its not easy (actually make that, I have failed miserably at times) to achieve it, but I think its one of those things that as long as you understand & respect the need for it & attempt to bring it all together that counts.
Its like most things, it begins with you

Soft music, aromatic incense and meditation works for me. It is so important to harmonise one's inner feelings. We should all take time to get in touch with our true selves. This would make the world a better place for everyone.

Focusing on the moment at hand, and trying to reduce the time you're focusing on from a minute to a second to an instant, seems to be one of the many keys. If you can live the entire rest of your life focused on the instant at hand, you might even be considered enlightened.

I can stay 'spiritually balanced' by letting go and knowing there is something greater than I in charge. It can be called God, Creative Force, Great Spirit, whatever name but to me, it is what makes the grass grow, the rain fall, the sun shine. I remind myself that this force is within me and wants only my good. While writing my novel, I was so aware of the 'presence' and felt the book was being dictated to me, much as Harriet Beecher Stowe claimed 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' was dictated to her.

So I pull back when starting to be off balance and just let go.

Anxious to hear more from you all.

To me the spiritual side of life are the questions we all face - Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going?

Being able to ponder these questions - not always coming to a solution - allows one to open their mind and see the world for what it is.

As far as staying balanced - I have been reading more about meditation, not only the quiet room with a candle meditation, but also meditation during every action of everyday. In other words having a presence of mind through-out your life and beyond.

When I eat, I eat.
When I sleep, I sleep.

Thank you, I am certainly trying. My goal is to help others find a similar balance in their lives.

Quoting mcsis

Hi Mary,

Can you post a link to your novel in this thread?

Thanks
Wocca
