Im going to Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. And our budget is tight, we're trying to save coz we're still going to singapore. we have booked for the hostel there and wondering if US$100 is enough for food and sightseeing.

I think $100 US is OK for three days, Malaysia is generally pretty cheap (even KL).

But will that cover all the shopping.....

thanks for the info magykal1. that $100 is for food and transportation just to go around, i don't have plans on buying anything there. is it cheap to shop there? what are their good products?

KL is pretty good for pirate CDs/DVDs/Games and for clothes.

You can buy some "batik", is a piece of cloth with very traditional pattern. You can made them into skirt, table cloth etc.

The price is range as low as RM10 or maybe below.

For money changer, basically you can go to KL town. There are a numbers of them.

Besides KL, you can also head down to Melaka for 1 day trip, it should be enough.

Hv fun!

I highly recomend the batu caves just outside of KL. Very beautiful and the place was crawling with monkeys when i was there. And pay the little extra for the audio tour, you get to hear a lot of interesting hindu mythology.
