Quoting snuppa

We're going around the world, and i have a rare question...
My boyfriend is using snus (almost like chewing tobacco), and we're wondering if it's possible to buy it the places we're going...
China, Kuala Lumpur, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Cook Island and California

Anyone who can help??

I met a Norwegian girl in Thailand earlier this year. She brought her own supply of snus with her ...

I would guess that it could be available in boutique cigar/tobacco shops internationally. Why not try contacting the manufacturers at home, and see what they have to say? Perhaps they have an export market.

Well I am a smoker, and a smoking snob at that...NEVER fags out of a pack (makes me want to vom), and dark, heavy rolling backy just makes my chest hurt.

I can only smoke this really light rolling tobacco that comes out of a jar from a tabaconist near me...

Unfortunatly, I think my only option is to buy a jar and stick it in a tupperware tub to take with me...

Sorry, I really like smoking , I know it may kill me, but.... (a couple of quotes)

"I pity those poor fools who abstain from vice all their lives and then die" (John Wayne)

"sorry to pop your little security bubble...but...thousands of non-smokers DIE every, single, day" (Bill Hicks)

I can't remember who said it..but he said "I feel sorry for those health food eathing/jogging/work-out day...they are going to be lying in a hospital bed, dying of nothing"

We have something in Ireland that we call "snuff" - I wonder if that's the same thing?

I absolutely hate smoking now. You can still smoke in pubs in Sydney and I went out last Friday for about an hour or so and came back reeking of cigarette smoke. My clothes stank, my hair stank and I had to have a shower as soon as I got home. I felt filthy.

That's something I definitely don't miss one bit! No matter how often I'd wash my clothes or how much perfume I would wear I always used to smell of smoke. Now, I just smell like summer meadows.

If I was single, the last thing I would want to do is meet a nice girl on my travels and then watch her pull out a packet of smokes and start fagging away.

Ok, I promise I wont smoke when I get to Sydney so!

To me (and this is only my perception), when I'm travelling and out and about I find that smokers sit around in groups doing stuff all (particularly females) while other people are out and about. It's as though smokers have no energy and are constantly lethargic.

If anything will keep me on the right track, its that. My physical fitness has improved so much in the last year. I didnt really ever pay attention to how out of breath I was before....Now when I go trekking, it's much easier. And, if I'm planning things like Machu Pichu and Mount Kinabalu, I dont want to make them any more difficult that they are already.

Alcohol and tobacco limits vary according to which country you are entering. Perhaps a travel agent can help you with this question.

This is interesting. . .

"More than 1 person out of ten is using snus in Sweden."

"The number of tobacco related diseases in Sweden is the lowest in Europe."
