i am going to be spending a few days in these places and was wondering if they are any backpacker style streets to stay on e.g. khao san road, also anywhere that lots of travellers go out on a night to meet each other etc??

while im staying in these places are there any neccesary places i must visit ?

thanks

I went to visit the Brown Sugar near the Night Bizzare in Bangkok, it is on Sarasin Road. They have live music, and great atmosphere which is worth a visit. In Siem Reap, near the market, a guesthouse called the New Millenium was very nice, not much atmosphere there, but very close to area with lots of bars and restuarant. The rooms their are the best quality that I found, so check it out.

Hi travel555

Both Siem Reap & Vientiane are fairly small places, so you will easily find your way round once you get there

In Siem Reap i stayed at the Garden Village guesthouse. It was lovely and had a really nice dorm too. They also had a rooftop bar with incredible views at sunset.
