Hey everyone,

Can anyone give me an idea of how much they paid for a one-way ticket between Chile and NZ?

The cheapest I can find on the Lan Chile website is about $1,300. Does this sound about right?

Thanks,

E

Unfortunately, that's right.
I'm planning to travel to NZ when I finnish university and the flight price is precisely the bigger of the obstacles.

Will you be able to stop in Easter Island on the way? Or can you only get to and from Easter Island from Chile?

Wow Ev, that's a bit steep isn't it have you checked out maybe flying back up to the States & then direct to NZ from there.. when will you be here?

Travel to Easter Island is very expensive for chilean people, most of us never will know such beatyfull place. If money is the matter, flying there don't going to be useful. Probably, going NZ trough US or Europe would be cheaper, and if you want to go to Rapa Nui (the real name of Easter Island)do it from the Polynesia, it's nearest and surely more economic.

Hi guys,

Checked out flights to Easter Island - not cheap! Over $500

I definitely can't afford that. Was really hoping to go there...might have to giev it a miss....

Fiona, hadnt thought about flying back to the U.S to fly to NZ - if you think that might be a better option, I'll check it out. Thanks;)

I'm hoping to be in NZ by around late Feb/early March 2006.

Quoting samsara2

Hi guys,
I'm hoping to be in NZ by around late Feb/early March 2006.

Yay, it will be summer & we will need to have a fair few cold
ones when you get here for you to acclimatise host responsibility and all that
