Hey peeps!

Just wondering if it would be better to do a BUNAC programme (Work Australia/NZ). Or is this going to cost more money??

Depends how much they charge. If its more than 100 pounds then there are much better options. Where are you coming from?

This also depends on flights/insurance etc. being included and how secure you are on going on your own or whether you'd prefer travelling with a group. Most don't mind travelling on their own, but there's also a ton of people that don't mind paying a little extra for some help before departure as well as on/after arrival.

It's really a personal thing depending on how much you've travelled, the kind of person you are, how much you want organized on arrival etc. etc.

Thanks guys for your advice. I'll be travelling from London, and have been thinking of joining the BUNAC scheme as I've never done a big trip by myself before. But at the same time I was thinking if it was better for me to go alone as I get to do what I want to do.

Yes, whatever you are comfortable with is the best way. Look for something that offers ongoing services that they own and run. If they farm them out to outside companies then what are you paying for? You'll meet people when you get here; 500,000 backpackers a year come to will definitely meet someone.
