Hi everyone,

well I noticed nobody has replied from Britain and I don't blame 'em:) It is pretty dull here - very cold and a chilly wind is about today - I am not going to say it is not raining because if I do then it will rain AGAIN so I didn't say it ;) Anyway that is the weather report from my area. It is the sort of weather that makes me wish I was on a plane right now! However that isn't going to happen so I am just going to have to wait a few months before I experience the lush, tropical weather I've been craving

Hi there!

In Malaysia, all you get for the whole year is hot and humid (30-35 degrees Celsius, humidity above 80%) during the day, except when it's raining where it could go to as low as 24 degrees Celsius, depending on how heavy the rain is. As for night time, it'll be between 24 and 29 degrees Celsius.

This is for the capital Kuala Lumpur. The temperature could be 1-2 degrees lower in other places of Malaysia.

At a risk of going too far off topic...

Sam - i can probably sum up my experience (singular) at XC with a summary of the comments i had from the owner of the hostel where I borrowed the skii's. He said, or word's to the effect "In 20 years, i've only ever had about 10 poles broken in total, even by pure beginners like yourself and have never seen anybody break 2 before. But more impressively - how the hell did you manage to snap your ski into 3 pieces??? Nobody has ever broken one before."

Although in fairness, when i tried downhill skiing a few days later and was suprisingly reasonable (I didn't nearly kill more than 3 or 4 people and even worked out how to stop without demolishing a wall) I think i can conclude that i wasn't really designed for XC skiing ;)

Apologies but cannot add to the skiing debate since I have never even tried on a pair of skis, and by the sounds of it, I need to!!

Anyhow weather in southern england . . . I find it amazing I am only the 3rd person from the Uk to enter this thread . . .since talking about the weather is one of our favourite pastimes! There should be at least 10 responses by now . . . .

Perhaps I better refrain from any further comments on english pastimes and share that . . yesterday it was one of those horrible grey days that we are so good at here (see the other two comments from the UK!!)

BUT TODAY (right now) it is blue skies, lovely sunshine and it could be a spring day! So what am I doing inside surfing?!

Hi Becky - I have to agree that down the sunny south it is usually exactly that - sunny! However the rest of britain doesn't seem to get it as good as down south. It rains all the time where I am. I mentioned previously that I wouldn't say it'll rain incase it did - it turns out it did anyway - AND it rained again today - no surprises there!! I must admit I don't talk about the weather unless it is somewhere tropical. I guess I just hate cold drizzly weather and seeing lots of umbrellas everywhere with not so happy faces underneath them!!

Here is another weather report from Britain...Cold, windy and dark. Sounds like the opening line from a depressing Bronty Sisters novel. Infact, I am gonna predict the weather in northern England till June..............overcast, cold, lots of rain and a fair bit of wind. And to think the Met Office pay people a salary to tell us this!! Can I have a job?.......Please!

Hey guess what guys? It's raining again today - well I guess the world knows what britain is like in March. Anyone else having nice weather? OZ must be warm now - isn't it summer there now or something? Anyone from South America want to give me a weather update cos I'm kinda planning on being there around this time next year and wouldn't mind knowing what it is like in advance? Lemme know, cheers!

Later people!
