hey everyone, I just need some advice. I need to book a hostel for the 16th of this month in Montreal. We were planning on staying at the HI montreal for the whole time, but its all booked up for the 16th, so gotta find somewhere else, I've narrowed it down to 2 price wise, but if anyone firmiliar with montreal knows which of them is closer to Cresent street, St. Laurent street and all the good stuff that would be great
heres the links

any other suggestions would be great too, tryin to stay under 20 a night

thanks in advance :)

im in montreal on friday and saturday night and me and 2 mates ended up getting a hotel as it works out cheaper to get a room with 2 double beds rather than a private and dorm room.

I just think you should book them both here rather than on hostels.com :)

I agree with reece though, often it's cheaper if you're with more people to stay in a hotel with a private room, than to pay for several beds in a dorm room...

The first one, Vacanes Canada MD, is located closer to St. Laurent Blvd than Cresent St, but it's further north than most of the hip and happening stuff. The second, Globetrotter Hostel, is also close to St. Laurent, but further south, so it's much closer to all the trendy bars. Plus being on Mont Royal St, you have a lot of cool bars and shopping.

If you have any more Montreal-related questions, feel free to ask!

Cheers,
Katie ;)

Thanks everyone, so after thinking about it I think that if we do go with a hostel it will most likely be the second one, but I am now going to look into a hotel for that night, because reece does have a good point. So on that note, does anyone have a good suggestion for a hotel under 80 a night in a good location;)

Thanks in advance
