I'm planning to head out to Australia (Sydney) mid Aug, no idea where i'm staying, what i'm doing or what exactly to expect. I know some people that are going a few weeks before so i'll not be completely thrown in at the deep end when i get there but i'm still nervous about having no concrete plans.
Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated, in terms of work, accomodation, and last but not least the best places for partying etc
I don't think you'll have any probs feeling at home in Australia! It's easy to meet other travellers and the whole country is somewhat set up around the 100 000 or so backpackers that head there every year! Are you on a working holiday visa? In that case, have you checked out the Work & Travel Australia feature? It's written to provide a bit of insight and a starting point to going to Australia on that particular type of visa.
Thanks Sam, yeah its a working holiday visa so that sets my mind at ease a bit. I'll check out the feature.
Cheers , nic
