Im currently in the process of booking my RTW ticket.
I have found that most places in the UK are charging approx £1200 - £1260 inc all taxes. Some allow free date changes others charge £50

I have found one however at £1055 inc all taxes which I think is very good.

Is this a good price & what did you pay (if you dont mind me asking)

Thanks in advance

I went with Travel Nation.

Overland to Bangkok
Overland to NY

£1068 exc tax. (£1263 inc tax)

Great Escapade via Travel Nation. I bought extra miles, so my trip reads

London-Tokyo-overland to Osaka-Bangkok-Singapore-Brunei-Perth-overland to Sydney-Tonga-Samoa-Auckland-Fiji-Los Angeles-London

For just over £1300 all inclusive.

I recommend this because it's based on amount of miles, rather than amount of destinations. If you phone them up, you can talk it over with a rep there who will add up the miles as you go along and help you tweak it for maximum efficiency.

or drop into their office like I did. Very friendly and I would recommend them to anyone. Oh and mine is a Great Escapade ticket as well.

Only real issue with the escapade ticket is all asia flights route through singapore as it is with Singapore airlines. This means I fly from Tokyo to Hong Kong (Via Singapore) lol

I could go direct from Osaka to Bangkok, but yes, Singapore is the hub for most Asian destinations. I also wanted to go to HK or China, but that little quirk prevented it because of the mileage.

I also bought a Virgin Atlantic great escapade ticket straight from virgin atlantic. I think the basic price was £900 inc tax but I bought extra miles because I wanted to do South Africa Aswell.

My itinery is London - Capetown, Johannesburg - Bangkok, Singapore - Perth, Sydney - Christchurch, Auckland - Fiji, Fiji - LA, New York - London.

This came to £1270 with an open ticket so that I can change any flight free of charge.
