Easy, Beachcomber Island.

Forgive me if this is a simple answer but how far is this from Nadi airport?

Oh, sorry. A bit vague wasn't I.

To get to Beachcomber you have to go to Denarau Marina, which is about 20 minutes by bus from Nadi airport. You must book a beachcomber package prior to arrival. Look at the website and you will see why - its small. All of the packages include meals. The packages might include transport to the marina from wherever you stay on the mainland. Transfers take about 30minutes and leave everyday at 9pm and 12pm. So if your flight arrives early morning in Nadi you can go straight to Denarau and go for one of those transfers - but don't forget to book. The other website deals with other backpacking options in Fiji. Tip: avoid staying in Nadi town. Nothing there. If you are getting an early morning flight out of Fiji you'll have to come back the day before and get accommodation next to the airport.

My girlfriend and I rented a Bure on beachcomber for three days. And even though the island is tiny we had a very relaxing time. Good diving and snorkelling, good food, and plenty of activities.

Have fun

Great - thanks for your help.
Beachcomber looks great but is a bit pricey as im gonna be on a budget.

Like the look of the Surf & Dive Rendevous - quite cheap & has lots to offer. they even allow tents to camp for free from what i can see.
I think you just pay for your meals.

Don't spend time in Nadi

Nadi is boring compared to the smaller islands

It's OK if you need to do some shopping, and the Hindu temple is definitely worth a look, but otherwise I concur with that, plus you get a lot of hassle from hawkers.

Was searching for info about accommodation in fiji and came across this post.

Really like beachcombers but it is quite expensive so wondered if anyone had any other recommendations?

Is it worth staying on just one place for the whole time (1 week) or having a base in one place (such as Nadi) and then just doing day trips to some of the other places? Any recommendations?

Thanks for your help :)

I just had a look at the Beachcomber Resort website. Are those room rates per night?
