Moved from NZ to canada and i reallllyyyy desperatly need work now.
Wondering if things are done differently as I am applying with enthusiastic cover letters and CV. With only a few bites...after interviews...promised call backs are never recieved...not even a letter to say "sorry no luck"
Its starting to freak me out.
I'd really like work in a ranch or resort...animals, photography, nature....any ideas?
Have you got a work permit for Canada?
Not sure how its run there, but do know that in a lot of countries that have strict permit procedures, the hassle for employers to acquire a working permit for a foreign employee is usually far bigger than they think its worth! However if you already have a work permit then that is a different matter.
Have you tried going for one of those summer camp jobs through Bunac? That might be worth considering.
Yep...I have a permit.
Was gonna come over on an nz bunac thing but decided to go it my own.
where are you in canada? Alberta? I've never applied for work there, but i'm sure theres someone who has and has some info for you, if you can tell us where exactly you are. There are places that will help you with resumes, interviews, cover letters and the job search (such as the library or job search centres)I don't know how the job application process works in New Zealand, but i'm sure it can't be much different, just keep applying and reapplying and i'm sure you'll find something.
the only other thing i can think of right now is http://hcareers.ca
Hi, I'm from UK and want to work abroad from July/August. I'm undecided about working NZ, Australia or Canada. Ideally I want to study Zoology and work with animals, I'm not getting much luck in my searches, has anyone got any advice?
