avoid kl at all cost in august or september coz it's hazy hazy hazy. not good for anyone especially travellers. the government is keeping it quiet, not to scare tourists. the worst is kl, pj and putrajaya. other states should be alright.

I just came back from KL, 2 days ago, and it's terible there. somehow, in the east coast of Malaysia is clear weather and safe for travelling.

Umm... how is the government keeping quiet when it closed schools, made public the Air Polution Index, and declared a state of emergency on two districts at the coastal area nearest to Indonesia?

Anyway, for those who planned to come to Kuala Lumpur this week or next, please check on the latest updates on the local news first before you come.

The Star
Malaysian National News Agency
The New Straits Times

If KL is your first stop in Malaysia, you may want to change your plans and visit other places in Malaysia first and KL last. Currently, only Kuala Lumpur and its surrounding areas/cities/towns are affected by the haze.
