Hi everyone, just a little question I am going to south america for 10 weeks going to Peru, Bolvia and Chile, doing all the backpacking stuff. And I was wondering when i should schedule to do the inca trail, is the fourth/fifth week good?? Taking into consideration acclimatizing and doing Arequipa, Nazca, etc, etc???? And leaving enough time for Bolvia and Chile???
Depends when YOU want to do it, fourth or fifth week may be good. One thing about acclimatising is that you wanna ne AT LEAST 3 days in Cusco before you do the trail. Although when i heard people say it is tough and didnt beleive them, IT IS TOUGH!! It is easily do-able but tough, and suffering from altitude sickeness would absolutely ming.
Does anyone no whether it would be a really bad idea to do the Inca Trail in November? I'm not sure but I've get the impression that that's really off-season, with bad weather, rain, storms, fog, no visibility, etc. ...
I found this website helpful.

Thanks! Seems like we're gonna get wet...
Me too Oh well!
I just hope the trail isnt closed when I get there (January)...
No, but I think it is closed in February, due to anual cleaning of the trail.
Good to know!
Sounds like the wet season has its merits too...even though it might be raining, the scenery seems to be very lush and green, so it might be quite nice!
Checked out that tour company from your other thread and they look pretty good! I was thinking of booking with United Mice, but this tour company are quite impressive too.
I know!!! I like there environmental approach... Though it might be a PR thing.
