Well.... where do i start?!
My name is Ronny, I just finished high school along with my first year in college. Just moved with my family from Cincinnati to Miami, FL
The idea for hawaii came up a few weeks ago, i can't get in-state tuition in Florida for another 6 months, so either stay in miami and work or go somewhere and work. I want to be on my way asap!
I haven't decided on much other than going. Island? Town? i need some advice! What i would like to do is find a place to live in a fun young area, get a (reasonably) fun job working outside, and having a great experience. I have a desire to get away from it all and live a little!
ANY advice, guidance, direction...... would be greatly appreciated!!
I'm afraid I'm probably much too late to be helpful to you, but just in case, I wanted to let you know that I live on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, and would be happy to try and answer any questions you might have regarding life here.
Have you chosen where you're spending the 6 months before school starts? Are you here in Hawaii already?
yes, i already am in Oahu. currently living in waikiki. having a fantastic time! been here about 2 months and think i'll stay for good and go to school at UH manoa, five min away.
I feel the SAME way about this island!! My husband is in the Army and we're stationed here for 3 1/2 years... and I am quite worried that won't be long enough for me! LOL
I live near Wahiawa... and it's about a 8-10 minute drive to Haleiwa and the North Shore for us. I LOVE IT!! The whole North Shore coast is my favorite side of the island.
I'm going to check your profile in a sec after I post, but are you keeping a blog of your time here with pictures and all? I am... I thought 100 pictures per month would be sufficient, but I ran out of space in my first month! LOL
the north shore is the best part of the island! snorkeling three tables and sharks cove! doesn't get better than that, i'm not keeping a blog or anything just in contact with lots of friends and family. Pictures.... 2 months here and i have a couple hundred! the first month i spent renting cars and doing EVERYTHING on the island. don't think i've kept my profile up to par...
