Maybe we're not really ending up in water... Maybe we just know where the TP Island is...

(Did someone forget to give Greg directions??? Or did he just decide he didn't need them... )

Quoting Yve

i moved to montreal to get away from the parents, but now i'm thinking i should go to Perth and rent a boat to the middle of the ocean....

LOL!

Ok, Miami is Lat 25 46 00 and Long 080 11 00. My antipode is 25.767 and -100.183. That places me right on China, not too far from Kunming and a little bit north of Thailand. I guess I was as close I am going to get to the other side of the world already!

I live in Cape Town, South Africa, the antipode for Cape Town is in the Northern Pasific, nothing much there.

The closest place seems to be Hawaii, not bad!

Quoting steffbo

Mine is even a bit further south than vilmalotta's.
I should have hired a boat when I was in N.Z.!!!

Did you hit land steffbo? :)
I think there's a lot of use here who could share a boat.
A Travellerspoint meeting at sea? ;)

Sssshhhhhhhh! Don't tell anyone, but we're all actually meeting up on the TP Island. It just looks like it's in the middle of ocean. Well, okay, it is in the middle of the ocean, but new arrivals are joining the party every day! ;)

[ Edit: Someday, I'll learn to type... ]

Thanks for this bit of fun Greg. I've been wondering for a while where the opposite side of the world for me is and now I know. As for most people it is in the middle of the ocean but the closest bit of land is somewhere around Fiordland, New Zealand. And I fly to Queenstown tomorrow so I'll be pretty close.

By the way, that second link you put on was very helpful.

Thanks again. Stacey.

Thanks, Greg! Wow, Ecuador. That's really putting in some distance!
