Bombs in London again - this time prevented by armed police.
Suicide bomber shoot on the spot - the bomb did not explode. The station and whole area cordonned off.

No doubt the PC brigade in the UK will be outraged that someone was shot. The police have announced they will now 'shoot to kill' any suspected terrorists. Usual story though, bring in tough measures once the horse has bolted.

I think he's reffering to my kind!
who is naturally outraged that the police, three of them would pile ontop of a man they'd already caught and shoot him 5 times without question...

IS that not wrong????

that's what the british politicians hoped before the gulf war II - but untill british military is present in Iraque we have to bear more of this same story on the trains and buses

I'm generally pretty woolly liberal but I think that if the police believe that someone is possibly about to detonate bomb on a train then they have no choice but to shoot them. Not really too sure of the facts of the incident yet though.

But we do not know all of the facts, and by the sounds of it they were either agents or something like that as they were undercover. They must have thought for sure that the person had explosives on him cos i really beleive that since working with the police for a while that an officer cannot just ´gun´ someone down and fill him with lead. Britain isnt like that with regards to guns, and in my opinion, and i am sure that if that officer was wrong he would be in serious serious shite.
If some idiot runs past police and ignores them, jumps on a train and looks peeky, the police did everything they should have done in my opinion.

To be honest with you I'm of two minds about this incident.

Firstly I'd like to believe that the police do a good job keeping us safe in adverse conditions, more power to them!
But then there's what I know from experience, that they can often be ignorant, and quick to act without thinking, and before anyone jumps down my throat I've been involved and have had friends involved in negative situations with the police where they have clearly acted before their brain was in motion.

????

who knows, I hope that this situation was not unnecessary..

Wow...really? I saw television said train stations in NY City are scattered with cops... many visitors with bags would have to get thru cops' inspection...certain authorities are against this as they think this is against human rights...
