Beer is cheap. Everything else is cheap in Eastern Europe too, when compared to UK's prices. What else do you need?

grub: Why not go to google or yahoo and type in Latvia and read all about where you are going and what kind of entertainment is there? You may even want to buy a guide book in a bookstore or just read the book while you are there and write down some things. Just a suggestion.

What the heck, i'll bite.

Yes, i have, many times.

Riga is a stunning city, full of amazingly - almost scarily - attractive women, and beer etc prices very low and going out good fun and late (daytime options as well, including beer tent parties which seem to be about 30guys and 300 women) as i'm guessing that's what your looking for.

And the city is begining to be found in a big way by British stag?hen groups etc, and an increasing number of places have signs - in English only - saying no stag parties or large groups.

Hostel accomodation is relatively easy to get and cheap (i was last there about 6 weeks ago and was paying about 4.50gbp a night in teh centre - go to Friendly Fun Frankies).

But don't ignore the historical side and cultural sites entirely.
That any use to you?
