No, I left my hat on (after all, it's a traditional swiss hat - black, round and flat), typed with one hand (the other hand was used to raise the flag) and after that I signed some petitions for the repatriation of all foreigners from Switzerland back to their native countries.

Thanks for asking.

Quoting MASSAGEUK

did you take off your hat while posting on this thread?

Uhm.....of course, and I stood up and belted the songs out very loudly and put my hand on my heart (or do only Americans do that???).;)

Hmm... I think when Canadians sing our nation anthem, it goes something like:

Oh, Canada!
hmm hmm hmm native land,
true hmmm hm hmmmm....

I, however, suffered through 3 years of Brownies and therefore can never unlearn Oh Canada or God Save the Queen.

Wow! We didn't know there were more words than just "Oh Canada" in the national anthem... (And still sung to the tune of Oh, Tannenbaum.)

Haha!! that is absolutly true!! ROFV!

I know the lyrics to Oh Canada.. but not sure about God Save the Queen how does that go? Something like this?

Queen is so good,
I like Queen
They have nice songs,
I like the way they sing

I am wondering how long it takes for somebody to quote the Sex Pistols....

I have collected Indian National Anthem which as under.

(English Translation)

Thou art the ruler of the minds of all people,
Dispenser of India's destiny.
Thy name rouses the hearts of the Punjab,
Sind, Gujarat, and Maratha,
Of the Dravid, and Orissa and Bengal.
It echoes in the hills of Vindhyas and,
Himalayas, mingles in the music of the
Jamuna and the Ganges and is chanted by
the waves of the Indian sea.
The pray for the blessings,
and sing by the praise,
The saving of all people
waits in thy hand.
Thou dispenser of India's destiny,
Victory, victory, victory to thee.

tallbird - I use to have 'trinidad & tobago' under my name on this boards - it sounds so exotic and unnationalistic (2 coutries in one - mind boggles).

I have never been there and only have a very vague idea where this country migh be

only recently I have reverted to the old boring 'uk' - for a very practical reasons
