Hello

Has anyone been to ningaloo reef/Coral bay? i have been to Cairns and the great barrier reef several times.and am a real diving snorkeling freak. I live to dive/snorkel and love coral reefs. it is a sixteen hour flight from here to Perth via Singapore then an 18 hour bus trip to Coral bay. I am 47 and getting a bit old to party so the lack of night life wont worry me.

Thanks

Now is a fantastic time to journey to Ningaloo

During the next few years there will be a number of resort type developements commencing in the coral bay area. SO this will be the last chance to see this area before developers bring their brand of commercialism here

Just remember that the temperatures are extreely hot between december and march and there is the chance of the odd cyclone to spoil your journey

Hi,

i went to both Great barrier reef and the Ningaloo reef this year and loved both of them,

although we went to Exmouth for the Ningaloo because thats where we based ourselves to see the whalesharks. So cant really speak for Coral Bay although fellow travellers have said it is very beautiful and is good u can go to the reef directly from walking out from the beach.

We went with Village Dive in Exmouth, very friendly cool staff, if u see the dvd Kelly n Wags made bout the Ningaloo reef - it is with them that we went to Ningaloo.

It was great to expereicne both reefs east and west coast oz, and i hope you enjoy Ningaloo, we went in June and cos winter there the sea was a bit rough and cold but sseing the Whalesharks def made up for that - a real special expereince.
