I have no idea how to verify if this is true, but I was told this the other day:

What is the only U.S. state to never have recorded a 100 degree day?

Hawaii

It did reach 100 (once..in 1931)....but it also says this...

The coolest two statewide high records, shown here, aren't as obvious. Alaska in the far north and Rhode Island, with no part of the state far from the cool Atlantic, are no surprises.

But tropical Hawaii, with the same high record as Alaska, isn't as obvious. Credit the ocean. Even in the tropics, ocean waters stay cooler than land. Almost all of Hawaii is cooled to some extent by ocean breezes.

No, but they are a frightening sight bouncing down the road towards your car in the middle of nowhere though

This reminds me of something really funny that happened last weekend...I had a friend visiting from NY. We were out in the boat and we ran into another friend on the ocean...he says...oh by the way, during season the only thing you have to watch out for all those stupid New Yorkers that come down here and drive around like total bleep bleep...guess who was sitting right next to me? Hahaha...we all turned around, looked at him and started laughing. Needless to say, he didnt know my friend was from NY...

Single guys should check out The Virgin Islands. Apart from sounding good, it has five women to every four men.
