Travel Forums Europe Weekend ideas?

Hello fellow travellers...

Am an Asian in Paris and will be here till the end of the year only. I don't have many days to spare for proper holidays, as I need to work on weekdays, so need to make full use of weekends...

Any idea on nice places to go for weekends (within/beyond France)? Fyi, I've been to Cannes, Arles, Avignon, Giverny, Cassis, Grasse, Loire Valley, Compiegne/Pierrefonds and will be going to Annecy and parts of Swiss (Geneve, Lausanne and hopefully montreux) next.

Thanks in advance for the inputs! ;)

With lots of low cost airlines landing in paris you could basicly go any where in Europe for just the weekend.

Places like Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, London, Rome, Warsaw. Choices lot's of choices.

Here are the cheap flight connections from:

Paris Beauvais Tille Airport

Paris Charles de Gaulle

Paris Orly

Hope this helps you. Have fun traveling,

Montpellier opens the door to Rousillon, Languedoc & Provence.

It is 3hrs away by TGV.

Hi tjaml,

I'd definitely go to Brittany or Normandy for a weekend. The landscape/beaches are very special and beautiful there and you could also visit the D-day beaches or Le Mont Saint Michel, a stunning monastery on a mountain.

Hi all!

Thank you so so much for the numerous suggestions! Am going to visit mont st michel in the near future. Heard St malo is a great place too!

Has anyone been to Etretat? The picture looks great, but besides the beach, is there anything else to do there?

Thanks again!!:)
