I'm going to Croatia on Friday for 2 weeks. I have return flights to Dubrovnik but want to travel around. I'd like to see Havr and some of the other islands. Can anybody help me work out the easiest way to travel around?

Thanks,
Jonathan

You can take a bus or a boat to Korcula, which is kind of a mini-Dubrovnik. The buses leave every day but the boats are only three times a week. From Korcula, there is a daily boat to Hvar (leaves at 6am, so stay in the city of Korcula if you want to catch it). Near Dubrovnik you can also do a lot of daytrips...there is a nude beach on Lokrum Island which you can even see from Dubrovnik that is pretty cool and a cheap day trip.

Also, totally recommended. When you are in Dubrovnik, look for a sign on the outer edges of the city walls that says "Ice cold drinks and the best views". if you see this sign, GO!!! It's the coolest place ever. If you walk past the patio bar, there are stairs leading to a little perch in the rocks where locals sunbathe. When I was there, I saw a guy catch an octopus with his bare hands. it was amazing!

Hope that helps

Thanks a million for your Speedy reply!!

That sounds great as the 2 places I most want to go are Dubrovnik and Havr, so I can do that with a stop in Korcula on the way! Great stuff. From Havr do you know where I can get boats to? I'd love to see Split, Lopud, Boss or anywhere nice really to be honest!!

Thanks again for your help, its much appreciated!
