(translation of subject line): Hi everyone in the big world ...
Just wanted to say hello! I've been around on TP for a while already, but haven't really introduced myself properly (I had no idea it had to be this formal!)
The reason for ending up on TP was that I was looking for somewhere to keep a travel diary for my 7 months (at least!!!) South America trip - coming up in less than a month!!! - for my non-Swedish-speaking friends. Have a look at my blog!!!
Also, I had lots and lots of questions about all sorts of things, such as the Inca trail, what to do in Patagonia, cheap hostels in Ecuador, hazards in Caracas, etc. Pretty soon I found out that the forums on TP were perfect for these kinds of questions - thanks a lot everyone for your recommendations!!!
Facts about me: I'm a Swedish (obviously), 27 years old (for god's sake, that is old!!!), girl (or lady, maybe... ). So you have to forgive me if my language ain't perfect, English is just my second, you know...
More facts: tall, little sister, heedless, freckled, spontaneous, musically talented, environmentally friendly, happy, daydreaming, outdoor freak, ambitious, brunette, sporty.
That's all for now folks! Have to catch a train, I'm going to Swedish movie opening of "the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy"... Take care!
Welcome to TP!!!
We're very happy that you have been able to find answers here and have had quite a few to offer up yourself!!!
Have a great time in SA!!!!!
I now have a song about Alabama and a banjo stuck in my head! Welcome oficially to TP! Your trip sounds wonderful, and I know there are a few people here who are either planning to make the trip to SA or are there already. I'm sure you'll find plenty of great advice!
