Blitz198 has indicated that this thread is about Ireland

I recently read a book (it was a fairy tale/fantasy type thing...I love that sort of stuff ) and it took place in Ireland, partly on Inch Island. I was wondering if it (Inch Island) exists or not, because I cant seem to find it on any maps.

Hi Blitz,

I found this, which may be what you're looking for. I've never heard of the island either, although it seems to be just off (or in?) Donegal which is a popular enough spot.

Hope that helps!

Tway.

I grew up and live on Inch Island, I'd love to find out why it was mentioned in a novel... and who wrote it?

I rented a cottage on the island, near the riding stables. It was an absolutely beautiful place, we travelled all round Donegal, and went to Derry, and on a ferry across the loch.

Wonderful atmosphere, real nice.
