Just wondering if anyone knew of a good accommodation guide for Cape Town. I am looking for self catering and something near table mountain.

Are you looking for a hostel? If you are, then Ashanti Lodge is fantastic!

I used a website to find accommodation in Cape Town. I searched under self catering in a suburb called constantia, but they have many other categories and suburbs to meet your budget. The webiste is www.capeaccommodation.za.org

Hope it works out for you.

I also used a website to book my accommodation in Cape Town.
www.southafrica-stay.com

But I also found another one only for Cape Town
www.capestay.com

Hope it helps :)

hey, we were in cape town last christmas and did some serios hunting for the best (reasonably priced) place to stay; its in Observatory which is a suburb only five minutes from central cape town on the train. Obs is populates by students, and there're some really good clubs and bars within easy stumbling distance of the hostel. The hostel is called the Green Elephant, and they organize all sort of stuff like shark cage diving and township tours cheaper than youd get them elsewhere. There's a pool, and a jaccuzi, and you can camo in the garden if you want to save money. It's self catering, there's a big kitchen and a friendly atmoshpere, and of course braais! I think there's a website, and if you're in south africa, all the details are in the coast to coast book you find everywhere.

If you do go, let me know how much you like it.

Also try the webpage travel-in-africa.com . They also have a Cape Town Section and have organized me a really good hotel in the centre of town.
