SO -
QUACK! Quack! Sizzle, Sizzle! How 'bout some DUCK!

I would go for either of the 3: roast duck, duck caldereta (asian cuisine) or duck in pineapple sauce.. yummay!!

Hors d oeuvres:
Shrimp Ceviche with Creme Fraiche

Soup:
Creamy corn chowder with crumbled bacon

dessert:
always up for a hot fudge sundae dessert...

^^N literally I am drooling now.. IronChef it's your fault I have a wet keyboard..

What a slacker, I am. I still haven't posted what I would do -

A little sampler platter for y'all while you are waiting for me to cook:

Duck Three Ways
Duck Proscuitto with Mission Fig and Apple
Pistachio Balsamic Dressing
Pomegrante Molasses Drizzle

Duck Confit
Plum and Peach Salsa

Ballontine of Duck - stuffed with julienne veg and banana
Jerk banana and ginger sauce

For the Main:

Roast Duck with Duck Liver Parfait
Lentils du Pay, Wild Mushrooms, Beets and Nautral Jus

El Fin:

Duck Pate and lemon/black pepper creme fraiche
with a trio of coulis - Raspberry, Mulberry and Blueberry
and some fresh red currants

Why do I always write these right before dinner time and then I look around the place and all I'm lookin' at are some underripe avocadoes, overripe roma tomatoes, in the fridge - two open bottles of wine, 3 olives and some leftover lemon-pesto salmon. And of course, enough condiments to have a 15 course meal in and of themselves!

Time to go food shopping. Ciao! Hasta Luego!

Well, I am trying to match the ingredient not for the person.

So hard to please everyone all the time. Though I try, alas, ... For all I try.

You are one of the few I know to use mulberries!!! We have a couple mulberry trees in our yard but the blue jays and grackles get to them before I do. Bridgette, our goat (now passed one ) loved them too. Have you ever done a mullberry-rhubarb pie?

What about elderberries??? They grow wild here. The elderberry blossoms are great in salad and for "scenting" vinegars. The blossoms can also be breaded and fried - very, very good. Elderberry pies are a common dessert around us. It's elderberry pickin' time and the birds are stripping the bushes clean - quickly! Oh, and I have made elderberry vodka which has a rather strong licorice aftertaste.
