Hi, I'm hoping that someone can help me here.

Me and some friends are looking to go to Melbourne for approx 5 months to play cricket with some friends who live in the city out there. I wan't to buy a return ticket, but do I have to set a date, or can I choose when I leave nearer to the time?

thanks in advance! Hobbsie.

it will depend on the conditions of the ticket you have purchased. I would ask the travel agent. You may need to set a date which can be changed later...

From my experience, yes, you do need to have a return date set. (make sure it's changeable once you're there tho, just in case!) When I went from Melbourne to Bali, my flight was return, so I needed to bring my original ticket showing I was planning on leaving OZ after that trip, or else they wouldn't let me back in!

My husband and I are having problems getting all the health forms together for a 12 month visa, so we may be doing the same, book a flight for 3months (the ETA) but then change it once we're there and recieve an extension.

Let me know if you hear otherwise, it'd save us a lot of money too!
