Alright I've been away looking for my inner Elf & getting a bit distressed at not being able to find him.. not that I want to start eating cat's or anything

Each to their own, don't think you can really give advice on this one, I agree with Isa that you learn a hell of a lot more with age.. but we are probably all guilty of making some stupid mistakes in the name of love! Put yourself first, if your not happy no one around you will be either.

It comes down to individual perspective/circumstances/whatever. I firmly believe i'm of the 'no way - b*gger off' school of thinking, but its never happened to me (that i've found out about when it was still of relevance, anyway) so i can't say what i would actually do. I'd love to think that i would just end it there with no second chances, but you never know.

Generally I would say no second chances especially if bf/gf is cheating on their partner with his/her best friend! Worst case scenario , because you then not only lose bf/gf, but also your best friend...

To me, the relationship could never be the same, so there'd be no point continuing it.

I'd like to think I could, but I dont think I'd be able. Like James said, it just wouldnt be the same ever again.:(

what if your bf is your bestfriend?;)

Well, he would lose best friend status pretty rapidly if he cheated, so there's that problem solved!;)

Or you could always just find someone the two of you share....;)

It would just prove I needed a new best friend. Not only did they show a lack of respect and caring for me (as a lover) by being unfaithful - they also showed the same lack of respect toward me as their friend. The trust issue on both levels has been violated.
