My friend and I are spending some time in WA during are travels next year and as there's just soooooooooo much to do and see I was wondering if you could give us your opinion of what's best? We won't be there long (just four weeks ) so we want to make the absolute most of our time there!
Possibly staying with family for a bit then in hostels where ever we are, money will be tight but not completey non-existent (we hope ) so we just need some pointers as to where to go!?!
I'm sure once we're there we'll find out for ourselves (to a certain extent) but any advice you can give will be much apprecited!
How's it going,
Are you starting off in Perth? If so it'd probably be best to spend your 4 weeks either all north of Perth or all south. To the north you've got the Pinnacles beside Cervantes, then Shark Bay with Monkey Mia etc.. then maybe Karijini Nat. Park. Then Broome, Kununurra & the Bungle Bungles & Lake Argyle with the big dam (I think it's lake argyle). To the south you've got wine quaffing at Margaret River, all the southern forests with the gloucester tree at pemberton and the tree-top walk an hour or so from there. Then all the stunning beaches along the south coast and Esperance at the end with crystal clear waters and the recherche archipelago to nosey around. That's just a few nitbits, but WA is excellent!!
I couldn't agree more !!!! I lived in Perth for 2 years, and for the last 10 years through work was lucky enough to travel once a month from Melbourne back to Perth, I just luv the place !!!
If you have any other questions just PM me.
Perth is amazing, we spent 3 months there at the end of last year, it was the start of our year long WHV trip, and we loved it so much we headed back before we left Oz!
Definitely head up to Monkey Mia, the dolphins there are amazing, and well worth the 10 hour drive from Perth. The Pinnacles are amazing, although we were swarmed with flies the day we were there!
Have a fab trip, and if you want to ask anything else, just ask!
